After Open Day officially ends at 6pm , you are welcome to stay and sit in on a real-life sound check, when our Music Maker Club bands prepare for their gig later in the night. Then, if you're 18+ stick around to catch emerging artists take the stage in a live showcase at 7.20pm.

Ent. Business Management

Master Entertainment Business

Our Entertainment Business Management course will give you the essential knowledge and skills needed to navigate the intricate landscape of the music industry. Whether you dream of working for a record label, managing artists, curating live events, or driving the success of music-related ventures, this course is for you.

Developed in consultation with industry, this course focuses on project-based learning aligned with real-world applications. Develop an entrepreneurial mindset and apply skills and knowledge across the five music industry sectors: Creation, Distribution, Publishing, Management, & Events.

Graduate with a nationally recognised qualification - Cert IV in Music (Entertainment Business Management).

Master The Recording Studio

Our Music Production (Studio) course offers a blend of theory and hands-on experience in the art of editing and mixing sound using industry-standard software, including Pro Tools, Alberton, Logic, and Reaper, within diverse musical contexts.

This course teaches you the intricate process of recording, editing, and mixing music. Whether you're a budding producer, audio engineer, musician, or songwriter, you'll find a wealth of knowledge and practical skills to fuel your passion.

All OCA students receive 6hr of FREE studio time per term!

Graduate with a nationally recognised qualification - Cert IV in Music (Music Production).

Master The Art Of Live Performance

Our Live Music Performance course will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to excel in live performance. Whether you're a budding musician seeking to hone your talents or a seasoned performer looking to refine your craft, this course is for you!

Developed in close consultation with industry professionals, and using Oxford Art Factory as your campus, this course is not just about theory. Learn intonation, tuning, blend and balance, tone, style, dynamics, articulation, phrasing, expression, and posture.

Graduate with a nationally recognised qualification - Cert IV in Music (Performance).

WHY OXFORD CREATIVE ACADEMY?

Every Oxford Creative Academy student can access music industry resources in our 360-degree creative hub designed for artists, bands, managers, music entrepreneurs, producers, and songwriters.

Regardless of which speciality you choose, all students have the opportunity to:

PERFORM - Perform in our bi-monthly emerging artist showcase held at Oxford Art Factory. If you’re more of a behind-the-scenes person, work on any aspect of this event, from promotion to event management.

PRODUCE - Receive 6 hours of free studio recording time per term to record your tracks or work with emerging artists on their projects.

RELEASE - Access label and distribution services to release your music or work with emerging artists to release theirs with no upfront costs.

LEARN - Study a fully accredited, nationally recognised Cert IV in Music. 

NETWORK - You’ll also get free entry to 4 gigs at Oxford Art Factory every month because we know how being amongst the action is super important for your professional development and networking opportunities.
